Accessing Seesaw / Google Classroom on a Non-District Device
In the event of an unanticipated Digital Learning Day (DLD), students may be required to access Seesaw or Google Classroom depending on their grade level. These two apps are the Learning Management Systems (LMS) of the district and will be the tool that classroom teachers use to communicate assignments and share resources with their students. The method for accessing these services will vary depending on the device being used; however, the general directions below apply in most circumstances.
On a Mobile Device, Tablet, or Phone
Seesaw
1. Go to the device app store and download the Seesaw app. If the app has been downloaded in the past, be sure to update the app to its most current version if necessary.

2. Open the app and enter the Text Code (Home Learning Code) or scan the QR code provided by the student's classroom teacher.

Google Classroom
1. Go to the device's app store and download the Seesaw app. If the app has been downloaded in the past, be sure to update the app to its most current version if necessary.

2. Open the app and press the "Get Started" button.
3. Add an account and login with the student's username and password. Teachers of students in Grades 2-4 will communicate these to parents in the event of an unanticipated DLD.
NOTE: When entering the username, be sure to add the "@shiocton.k12.wi.us" string at the end.
On a PC or MAC
Seesaw
1. Using a web browser, navigate to app.seesaw.me (click Login in the upper-right corner if necessary) and select "I'm a Student".
2. Enter the Text Code (Home Learning Code) or scan the QR code provided by the student's classroom teacher.

Google Classroom
1. Using a web browser, navigate to classroom.google.com and click the Sign in to Classroom button.

2. Log in with the student's username and password. Teachers of students in Grades 2-4 will communicate these to parents in the event of an unanticipated DLD.
NOTE: When entering the username, be sure to add the "@shiocton.k12.wi.us" string at the end.
